Standalone presence detectors for Catherine House student accommodation refurb

The Brief:

The new set up was made to make this student hub more energy efficient whilst still being practical for the new residents.

Our Insight:

Formally Zurich House, Catherine House, in Portsmouth, is now owned by The Student Housing Company and has space for 1,000 students in a mixture of studios and 'cluster' flats with shared kitchen spaces for up for 6 people.

Our Solution:

CP Electronics' compact standalone EBDSPIR presence detectors, which can provide automatic control for lighting, heating and ventilation loads, were used in this project.

The Result:

Catherine House was a £51milliion project started in 2015 and completed in August of 2017 in time for the academic year, after being left derelict for 8 years.
