PRM presence detectors have built-in adjustable lux level sensors which will keep the lighting switched off if there is sufficient natural light.

In warehouse applications Direct Dim allows detectors to measure and control luminaire outputs. Therefore when forklift trucks or warehouse personnel enter a defined zone, lighting can be switched on to the full operational level, and adjust to a maintained illuminance level where required. When forklift trucks or warehouse personnel leave that zone, the lighting output can be reduced over time to a minimum preset value, or turned off completely. Often there is a health and safety requirement to keep the lighting at a minimum level so that if personnel or plant are not moving, possibly due to an accident, there should be enough light available to see something is wrong. These light levels, timings and other operating parameters can all be programmed with the DD-LCDHS-LR.
