Specified by contractors T Clarke, CP’s Vitesse Plus Lighting Distribution System offering Presence detection Daylight linking has been used throughout the Open plan offices. Vitesse is a marshalling box with simple, pluggable outputs that allow ease of installation and commissioning. It provides up to 10 outputs, enabling it to be used with a range of control options including photocell-controlled and manual dimming, presence or absence detection, corridor linking and manual switching, as well as testing of emergency lighting. It also offers a manual override for the presence detection. With three configurable channels and numerable functions, Vitesse Plus provides a high level of lighting control without the need for a control network.
Vitesse Modular has also been installed to provide presence detection in circulation areas and toilets, with absence detection and dimming in the smaller offices. In a selection of rooms CP’s VITM6-SELVMOD was also incorporated into the system to provide SELV dimming control for DSI or DALI ballasts. The contractor was familiar with Vitesse and, as the system has the flexibility to meet the specification and functionality required, a speedy and efficient installation was guaranteed.
Speedo has signed a 17-year lease for its 43,000 sq.ft. headquarters which houses 175 staff, who were previously based at offices on Ascot Road in Nottingham. The site hosts Speedo’s global Aqualab Research and Development Centre and acts as the brand's international base for visiting partners and athletes sponsored by Speedo
